Amazing 4th of July getaway!!! From the huge deck to the relaxing hot tub, we had such a fabulous time!! We will definitely be back again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin!

My husband and I booked the cabin for our 36th anniversary. First time we have been able to go away for our anniversary-ever. The cabin is beautiful, secluded and wonderfully stocked and clean. This is our 6th time renting from this company so we knew what to expect. However, this is the first time we had a problem. The hot tub did not work. It would not heat. Gary, from maintenance was wonderful and came and tried to fix it but it needed parts he could not get over a weekend. We were extremely disappointed because this was a big reason we came here and paid extra was to have a hot tub. Ok, things break. Biggest issue for me though was the lack of communication. First, when Steph, the owner did contact me it was through email, which I did not check because I am on vacation and they have my number. Then when she did actually call-the day after we reported the issue, she suggested we could use the cold hot tub. Also, the problem was electrical so, no not going to sit in a cold hot tub full of water with an electrical problem. She proceeded to then tell us that she would contact us later that day about a discount. That was yesterday morning, it is now 11 pm the next day and we are leaving tomorrow. I called her this morning, had to leave a voicemail, requested a call or even a text rather than an email to get an update on repairs and to discuss that discount. No call, no text. Zero communication. I cannot begin to express how utterly disappointed I am not only because I did not get to soak in a hot tub for 3 days like I planned, but on top of that the absolute lack of communication and complete disregard for us. She did not even ever say she was sorry this happened. Not once. Very bitterly disappointed. I still gave three stars because thanks to Ashley, the cabin is wonderfully clean and because Gary really made an effort to correct the problem, coming out on his weekend three times. We were very grateful for his efforts.

I’m giving the Sqrls Nest three stars instead of five for three main reasons. First, I made the mistake of missing the fact that there is ONLY ONE SHOWER! The other bathroom has a tub with no shower. Further, when I used the only shower, I ran out of hot water in less than 10 minutes, and I showered later in the day several hours after my husband had showered. (He showers way more quickly than I and did not run out of hot water.) I can’t imagine staying here with a group of six people all sharing one shower. Second, although you can sort of make it out in the photos provided, the upstairs bedroom is in a loft that is completely open to the downstairs, so whoever sleeps there needs to be someone who does not mind a lot of morning light coming in and is either the first one up or can sleep through noise from the living room and kitchen below. Third, the bedroom in the basement does not have a bathroom nearby. Anyone sleeping there would need to go up the basement stairs, which are quite steep, and use the bathroom on the first floor. If you are someone who needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, this would be very inconvenient. Now for the positive aspects: it is in a quiet, secluded, beautiful setting in the woods located very close to downtown Berkeley Springs. It was clean, well-stocked, and had VERY comfortable mattresses. The hot tub worked well, and the fire pit was wonderful. I would stay here again with just my husband but would never consider staying with more people than that given the bathroom situation I described above.

We had such a wonderful visit. The Cabin itself is well appointed. Tucked away enough in the woods, but close enough to enjoy the downtown area.A huge Thank You to the property management team for having the cabin ready for our arrival and answering any questions we had.We are looking forward to returning soon!
